A Better Approach Than Just Spraying

Entomologist

At Saela Pest Control, our pest control programs are designed and overseen by Dennis Weiss, a board-certified entomologist (BCE) specializing in urban and industrial entomology. The BCE designation, awarded by the Entomological Society of America, is the highest professional credential in pest management and is earned by only a small fraction of professionals in the field, and we’re proud to be led by someone who has achieved this designation.

Expert Entomologist

Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science in integrative biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed pesticide applicator and qualified supervisor across multiple states in the USA, holding additional certifications in wildlife control, rodent standards, and exclusion installation.

Dennis has spent over a decade with Saela, rising from service specialist with our team to technical supervisor, the role in which he now builds the protocols our technicians use every day. He is responsible for writing the company’s service procedures to improve results and reduce repeat callbacks. He also manages training our branch teams and field technicians, conducting quality-control audits, covering pesticide and equipment standards, and handling compliance and licensing with state agencies.
