How can I tell if I have pocket gophers?
Pocket gophers leave fan shaped or crescent-shaped mounds of fresh soil. The entrance hole is usually plugged, so you often won’t see an open tunnel like you might with other animals.
What kind of damage do pocket gophers cause?
They damage lawns and landscaping by tunneling and feeding on roots. You may see dying patches of grass, chewed irrigation lines, and plants that suddenly wilt or fall over.
Are gophers the same as moles?
